Religious Education (RE)

Right to Withdraw from Religious Education (RE)

At Keresley Newland, we are committed to providing a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum for all our pupils. To ensure transparency and support our families in understanding what children learn during their time with us, we publish the following key information on our school website:

Our Curriculum Content

We publish the full curriculum for every subject taught in each academic year. This includes all national curriculum subjects as well as mandatory subjects such as Religious Education (RE).
In some cases, RE may be taught as part of another subject or under a different name; however, the curriculum content remains fully available for parents and carers to view.

Right to Withdraw from RE

Parents and carers have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education.
If you wish to discuss this or explore alternative arrangements, please contact the school office on office@knpa.warwickshire.sch.uk or speak with a member of the senior leadership team.

Finding Out More

We welcome questions from parents, carers, or members of the public who would like more information about our curriculum.
Further details can be found on our Curriculum page, or you can contact the school directly and a member of staff will be happy to help.

Accessibility Plan

In line with our commitment to inclusion, we publish an Accessibility Plan which outlines how our school aims to increase, over time, the extent to which pupils with disabilities can participate in our curriculum.
This document sets out our ongoing improvements to environment, curriculum access, and information sharing.
